The Perfect Homemade Margarita (Better Than Restaurant Style!)

If you’re looking for a simple, refreshing margarita that tastes better than most restaurant versions, this is it. It’s perfectly balanced, easy to make, and ideal for warm summer days.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz tequila (I like using 1800)
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1 oz fresh fruit puree (watermelon or strawberry are my favorites)

For the Rim:

  • lime wedge
  • margarita salt
  • Optional: lime zest (for an extra pop of flavor)

Instructions

  • Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass.
  • Dip the rim into margarita salt. For extra flavor, mix lime zest into the salt before dipping.
  • In your glass, combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup.
  • Add fruit puree if using.
  • Stir well until everything is combined.
  • Add ice and give it one more quick stir.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
