About Madison

Hi there! I’m Madison, and I live in a small town in Georgia with my husband and our two little girls. Two of my favorite things are the beach, and to spend my days in the kitchen cooking/baking. That is where the inspiration for The Sandy Apron came! Cooking is one way I show love, and I hope you can feel that through my recipes. If easy, quick, and family friendly meals are your go to then you are in the right spot!

If you would like to learn more about me then here are 10 things about me explained.

1. I married my high school sweetheart 8 years ago, and we now have two beautiful little girls who are 16 months apart. Life has been busy, but beautiful!
2. My husband Dillon and I have been traveling together for the past 13 years- my favorite vacation spots are St. Augustine and Disney World.
3. I was an ultrasound technologist for 5 years before deciding to stay at home with my two girls- which has been such a blessing to our family.
4. I love to read! Mainly romance novels, but if you have any good book recommendations please let me know!
5. I love to go “shelling” on the beach- a fancy name for looking for seashells!
6. I love to host people in my home and cook for them. I find a lot of joy being surrounded by the people I love in my home.
7. My favorite food is any kind of mexican food. There is nothing better than chips and queso with a salted margarita
8. I love make up! My job in college was at Merle Norman, and along with helping run the store I used to do wedding and prom make up for people.
9. My favorite part of the day is first thing in the morning with a cup of hot coffee in hand, and being able to enjoy the quietness that comes before the rest of the house is up.
10. I can’t help but talk about God’s goodness to me! He has changed the way I view people and the world, and my life is more joyful because of following Him!
